Common Questions
Answers to frequently asked questions about our services
How long does a typical session last?
Each session is around 45 minutes. This includes time for diagnosis, discussion, and treatment. Your first appointment may run slightly longer so Tim can get a clear picture of your needs.
What does auricular electroacupuncture involve?
Tim uses a gentle technique that stimulates specific points on the ear to support healing throughout the body. It’s a modern, precise method that uses only a few fine needles, often combined with light electrical stimulation.
Does it hurt?
Most people find it very comfortable. You might feel a soft pulsing or warmth at the points being treated, but the sensation is usually very mild.
Can I request other treatments like cupping or moxibustion?
Yes, cupping is sometimes used alongside acupuncture, and moxibustion may be available depending on the room setup. Just ask during your appointment.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on what’s going on for you. Some people notice changes quickly, while others benefit from a series of treatments. Tim will talk this through with you after your first session
What kinds of issues does Tim work with?
Tim works with people who feel stuck — whether that’s chronic pain, fatigue, inflammation, or long-term health concerns that haven’t shifted with other treatments. His goal is to support your body’s natural healing systems and help you move forward.
